..στην ξεχωριστή αυτή κοπή βασιλόπιτας, θα μας λείπει η γεύση και η προσωπική επαφή, θα μας αγγίζει όμως το κυρίως νόημα του εθίμου αυτού που είναι:
ΙΣΟΤΗΤΑ, ΕΠΙΚΟΙΝΩΝΙΑ, ΦΙΛΟΞΕΝΙΑ, ΣΕΒΑΣΜΟΣ, ΔΙΚΑΙΟΣΥΝΗ, ΕΝΟΤΗΤΑ, ΑΓΑΠΗ, ΟΜΟΝΟΙΑ.



Πως θα ψάξετε το κομμάτι σας

Tην ημέρα και ώρα της κοπής, ή κάποια μέρα μετά την κοπή, αφού κάνετε LOGIN θα εμφανιστεί στην οθόνη του κινητού(PC) σας το ανωτέρω μενού.

Εδώ μπορείτε να δείτε και να "ψάξετε για το Φλουρί" το κομμάτι σας με δύο τρόπους

1. με κλικ στο (Επισκεφτείτε το τραπέζι σας) όπου θα μεταφερθείτε στο "τραπέζι σας" όπου θα υπάρχουν και άλλα άτομα
Εκεί θα κάνετε κλικ στο κομμάτι που θα εμφανισθεί, ή που θα βρίσκεται δίπλα στο όνομά σας, και θα δείτε αν ας έτυχε Φλουρί ή κάποιο σημάδι-σύμβολο. Αν τύχετε σύμβολο, τότε κάντε κλικ επάνω του για να δειτε τι συμβολίζει για το νεο έτος.
Σημειώστε ότι, δεν είναι απαραίτητο να είστε online τη στιγμή της κοπής διότι. το κομμάτι σας μπορείτε να το ψάξετε και οποιαδήποτε άλλη μέρα μετά την κοπή

2. με κλικ στο (Πάρτε το φιλί σας) θα μεταφερθείτε σε νέο MENU από όπου θα έχετε τη δυνατότητα να δείτε το κομμάτι σας σε (Augmented Reality) περιβάλλον επαυξημένης πραγματικότητας. Εκεί κάνοντας κλικ στο κομμάτι σας θα βγει από μέσα του αργά αργά ένα χρυσό νόμισμα με ένα σύμβολο επάνω του, πχ φύλλο ελιάς, άχυρο, καλάμι, ρόδι, κλπ Για να δείτε τι συμβολίζει για εσάς για τη νέα χρονιά θα πρέπει να κάνετε κλικ πάνω στο νόμισμα.

Κάθε χρόνο τα τελευταία δεκαοκτώ χρόνια, γίνεται στην www.vasilopita.eu στις 21 Φεβρουαρίου (Παγκόσμια ημέρα μητρικής γλώσσας της UNESCO) η κοπή της e-βασιλόπιτας του ΑΠΑΝΤΑΧΟΥ ΕΛΛΗΝΙΣΜΟΥ και ΦΙΛΕΛΛΗΝΩΝ με τη συμμετοχή μέχρι στιγμής, πάνω από πέντε χιλιάδων ατόμων από όλο σχεδόν τον κόσμο. Οι εγγραφές είναι δωρεάν για όλους Ελληνες και φιλέλληνες απο όλο τον κόσμο.

ΣΤΟΧΟΙ της e-βασιλόπιτας του απανταχού Ελληνισμού και φιλελλήνων

Στην ξεχωριστή αυτή κοπή βασιλόπιτας, θα λείπει η γεύση και η προσωπική επαφή, θα μας αγγίζει όμως όλους το κυρίως νόημα της κοπής μιας ΒΑΣΙΛΟΠΙΤΑΣ που είναι, ΙΣΟΤΗΤΑ, ΕΠΙΚΟΙΝΩΝΙΑ, ΦΙΛΟΞΕΝΙΑ, ΣΕΒΑΣΜΟΣ, ΔΙΚΑΙΟΣΥΝΗ, ΕΝΟΤΗΤΑ, ΑΓΑΠΗ, ΟΜΟΝΟΙΑ. Με την εγγραφή σας, το ξεχωριστό αυτό ΑΝΤΑΜΩΜΑ του απανταχού Ελληνισμού και φιλελλήνων γίνεται ακόμη πιο μεγάλο και στηρίζετε τους στόχους της e-βασιλοπιτας του Απανταχού Ελληνισμού και φιλελλήνων που είναι:

1.) – δίπλα στον παγκόσμιο ΕΜΠΟΡΙΚΟ Santa Claus, να παραθέσουμε την παγκόσμια διαδικτυακή e-βασιλόπιτα του απανταχού Ελληνισμού και φιλελλήνων

2.) – για να διαδώσουμε το όμορφο μήνυμα που εμπεριέχεται στον τρόπο με τον οποίο γινόταν η μοιρασιά των κομματιών σε κάποιες περιοχές …το μεσημέρι που γύριζαν στο σπίτι από την εκκλησιά, ο νοικοκύρης έκοβε την βασιλόπιτα και μοίραζε τα κομμάτια ως εξής: «Το πρώτο ήταν Του Χριστού και Της Παναγίας, το δεύτερο του Αϊ-Βασίλη, το τρίτο του Σπιτιού, μετά του νοικοκύρη, της νοικοκυράς, της δουλειάς, τα υπόλοιπα των μελών της οικογένειας, ένα για τα ζώα, ένα για τα σπαρτά, ένα για το φτωχό και ένα για τον ξένο.» (έθιμα ΠΡΟΠΟΝΤΙΔΑ-ΒΙΘΥΝΙΑ – ΑΝ. 3.) – για να φέρουμε με ευχάριστο (με ένα έθιμο) και εύκολο (με το διαδίκτυο) τρόπο, πιο κοντά στην Ελλάδα στα έθιμα, στις παραδόσεις μας και στην Ελληνική γλώσσα, απόδημους ομογενείς, φιλέλληνες και ιδίως την απόδημη νεολαία μας 4ης και 5ης γενιάς για την οποία το διαδίκτυο αποτελεί ένα σημαντικό μέρος της «αυλής» τους.

ΣΗΜΕΙΩΣΗ: Ενας απο τους συμμετέχοντες στην e-βασιλόπιτα του απανταχού Ελληνισμού και φιλελλήνων μας έγραψε, από τη Νότια Αμερική, τη Χιλή, πριν μερικά χρόνια “Η e-ΒΑΣΙΛΟΠΙΤΑ ΗΤΑΝ Η ΜΟΝΗ ΚΟΠΗ ΒΑΣΙΛΟΠΙΤΑΣ ΣΤΗΝ ΟΠΟΙΑ ΣΥΜΜΕΤΕΙΧΑ ΦΕΤΟΣ….”

**Πως και από ποιούς γίνεται η κοπή

Την AR e-βασιλόπιτα την κόβουν οι οικοδεσπότες (Hosts) της εκδήλωσης, σε ειδική ιστοσελίδα, την ημερομηνία και ώρα που έχει ορισθεί και αυτό γίνεται ως εξής:

Κάθε οικοδεσπότης αφου επισκεφτεί τη συγκεκριμμένη ιστοσελίδα και πληκτρολογήσει τον κωδικό του, εμφανίζεται στην οθόνη μια βασιλόπιτα και ένα μαχαίρι.
Με είκοσι συνολικά κλικ στο μαχαίρι ολοκληρώνεται η κοπή.

Τη χρονική διάρκεια της κοπής την καθορίζει ο οικοδεσπότης(οικοδεσπότες), από το χρόνο που θα κάνει τα "είκοσι" κλικ.
Η κοπή μπορεί να γίνει από οποιοδήποτε υπολογιστή, από το σπίτι, από το γραφείο, του οικοδεσπότη. Τα κομμάτια εμφανίζονται δίπλα στα ονόματα των καλεσμένων σε 2 περίπου λεπτά απο τη στιγμή της κοπής τους.
Οι εγγεγραμμένοι έχουν τη δυνατότητα να ψάξουν το κομμάτι τους, οποιαδήποτε μέρα μετά την κοπή είτε ήταν online τη στιγμή της κοπής είτε όχι.

Σύμφωνα με τη λαογράφο Α. Τζηνίκου η κοπή της βασιλόπιτας γινόταν σε όλα σχεδόν τα μέρη του Ελληνισμού ως εξής (με μικρές παραλλαγές τοπικά):

Το μεσημέρι που γύριζαν από την εκκλησιά, ο νοικοκύρης του σπιτιού έκοβε και μοίραζε τα κομμάτια ως εξής:

«..του Χριστού, της Παναγίας, του Αϊ Βασίλη, του σπιτιού, του νοικοκύρη, της νοικοκυράς, τα υπόλοιπα των μελών της οικογένειας, ένα για τα ζώα, ένα για τα σπαρτά, ένα για τον ξένο και ένα για το φτωχό»

ΣΗΜΑΔΙΑ-ΣΥΜΒΟΛΑ στη βασιλόπιτα

Όλα τα ΣΗΜΑΔΙΑ-ΣΥΜΒΟΛΑ στο έθιμο της βασιλόπιτας είχαν "στα παλιά τα χρόνια" κάποιο συμβολισμό. Ανατρέχοντας στη λαογραφία μας και στα έθιμα του Ελληνισμού βλέπουμε ότι...

Η περισσότερο συνηθισμένη πατροπαράδοτη ελληνική πρωτοχρονιάτικη πίτα ήταν η αλμυρή, πολύφυλλη και με κύριο στοιχείο γέμισης το τυρί ή το κρέας.

Έτσι, για παράδειγμα, η ηπειρώτικη παράδοση απαιτούσε βασιλόπιτα με κοτόπουλο, χοντροκομμένο αρνίσιο κιμά ή ολόκληρα κομμάτια χοιρινό κρέας, ανάμικτα με τραχανά, πράσα και αυγά. Και εκτός από το νόμισμα, ανάλογα με το επάγγελμα των μελών της οικογένειας, σαν σημάδι:

Ή διάφορους καρπούς, όπως σπυρί στάρι, κουκί, φασόλι, καλαμπόκι και ό,τι άλλο ποθούσε η καρδιά τους να ευλογεί και να χιλιάζει η χάρη του Αϊ-Βασίλη.

Στη Δυτική Μακεδονία και στη Θράκη, όταν έρχονταν ο καιρός να μοιράσει ο πατέρας της μεγάλης πατριαρχικής οικογένειας το βιός του στους γιους, άφηνε στη χάρη του Αϊ-Βασίλη να κρίνει το τι έπρεπε να πάρει ο καθένας.

How to find your piece

On the day and time of the cutting, or a day after, once you log in, the following menu will appear on your mobile (or PC) screen.

Here, you can view and "search for the lucky coin" in your piece in two ways:

1. By clicking (Visit your table), you will be redirected to "your table" where other participants will also be present.
There, you can click on the piece that appears or is next to your name, and see if you have won the lucky coin or a sign-symbol. If you win a symbol, click on it to find out what it symbolizes for the new year.
Note that it is not necessary to be online at the time of cutting; you can search for your piece on any other day after the cutting.

2. By clicking (Take your piece), you will be redirected to a new MENU where you will have the opportunity to view your piece in an Augmented Reality (AR) environment. There, by clicking on your piece, a golden coin with a symbol, e.g., an olive leaf, straw, reed, pomegranate, etc., will slowly emerge. To see what it symbolizes for you for the new year, you must click on the coin.

The Goals of the Global e-Vasilopita of Hellenism and Philhellenes

In this unique Vasilopita cutting, we may miss the taste and personal contact, but all of us are touched by the primary meaning of cutting a Vasilopita, which is, EQUALITY, COMMUNICATION, HOSPITALITY, RESPECT, JUSTICE, UNITY, LOVE, HARMONY. By registering, this unique GLOBAL MEETING of Hellenism and Philhellenes becomes even more significant and supports the objectives of the e-Vasilopita for Global Hellenism and Philhellenes, which are:

1.) – To present the global online e-Vasilopita of Global Hellenism and Philhellenes alongside the global commercial Santa Claus.

2.) – To spread the beautiful message embedded in the way the pieces were traditionally distributed in some regions: ...In the afternoon, after returning home from church, the head of the household would cut the Vasilopita and distribute the pieces as follows: "The first was for Christ and the Virgin Mary, the second for St. Basil, the third for the Home, then for the head of the household, the homemaker, the work, the remaining family members, one for the animals, one for the crops, one for the poor, and one for the guest." (Customs from PROPONTIS, BITHYNIA, EASTERN THRACE)

3.) – To bring expatriate Greeks, Philhellenes, and especially our expatriate youth of the 4th and 5th generations closer to Greece, its customs, traditions, and the Greek language in a pleasant (through a custom) and easy (through the internet) way, as the internet is an essential part of their "backyard."

NOTE: One of the participants in the e-Vasilopita (from South America, Chile) wrote to us a few years ago: "The e-VASILOPITA WAS THE ONLY VASILOPITA CUTTING I PARTICIPATED IN THIS YEAR...."

**How and by whom the cutting is done

The AR e-Vasilopita is cut by the hosts of the event on a special webpage, on the date and time specified, and it is done as follows:

Each host, after visiting the specific webpage and entering their code, will see a Vasilopita and a knife displayed on the screen.
With a total of twenty clicks on the knife, the cutting is completed.

The duration of the cutting is determined by the host(s) based on the time taken to make the "twenty" clicks.
The cutting can be done from any computer, at home, or at the host's office. The pieces appear next to the names of the guests approximately 2 minutes after they are cut.
Registered users can search for their piece any day after the cutting, whether or not they were online at the time of the cutting.

According to the folklorist A. Tzinikou, the cutting of the Vasilopita was performed in almost all parts of Hellenism as follows (with small local variations):

At noon, after returning from church, the head of the household would cut and distribute the pieces as follows:

"...for Christ, for the Virgin Mary, for St. Basil, for the home, for the head of the household, for the homemaker, the rest for family members, one for the animals, one for the crops, one for the guest, and one for the poor."

SYMBOLS in the Vasilopita

All the SYMBOLS in the custom of the Vasilopita had a certain meaning "in the old days." Looking back at our folklore and the customs of Hellenism, we see that...

The most common traditional Greek New Year's pie was savory, with many layers, and its main filling element was cheese or meat.

For example, the Epirus tradition required a Vasilopita with chicken, coarsely chopped lamb mince, or whole pieces of pork, mixed with trachanas, leeks, and eggs. Apart from the coin, depending on the profession of the family members, as a symbol:

Or various seeds such as wheat grains, beans, peas, corn, and whatever else they wished to bless and multiply with the grace of St. Basil.

In Western Macedonia and Thrace, when the time came for the father of the large patriarchal family to divide his wealth among his sons, he left it to the grace of St. Basil to decide who should take what.
